Problem with time travel

The with time travel occurs to me, How do you know when you get there?

Basically a time machine would need some innate way of sensing when it is.    Normally we tell time using clocks, but  a clock only tells you how much time you've moved through since the last known point.

It's rather like sailing on the ocean before the days of GPS.    You would leave port, and measure the speed at which you traveled, and a chart would tell you where you should be based on traveling at that speed.    Without a landmark you never have a way of knowing where you are.  If you were wrong about your speed then you could be hundreds of miles off course.

Time doesn't offer us any known landmarks.   So it seems Dr. Brown's greater achievement than the flux capasitor was some discovery that allowed the DeLorean to know when it had to stop.

And here I thought nature was supposed to be relaxing

I sit here staring at this computer screen listening to the birds outside my window. They sound as though they are screaming at each other. I can tell they are fighting, fighting over food, over territory, over mates. I watched a hummingbird try to scare away a much larger oriole from the feeder. So much for the relaxing sounds of nature.

Androids are sexy

I was thinking today about my cell phone, It's a T-mobile G1, I love it. would I like it to be faster? yes. But otherwise I can't complain.

It just strikes me that so far in the year I've had this phone Apple has released 2 Iphones and expected their customer's to buy these new phones to get new features, where the same features were added to my phone, either by my hacking or free over the air.

Case in point, Camcorder. I phone didn't have a camcorder, and neither did the G1, an update come down over the air adding camcorder function to my G1. Apple announced that it's customers could buy a new Iphone that had a camcorder.

Why I ask is apple still winning? I don't get it.

Aren't your dreams supposed to be about you?

Anyways so I have this dream, and it was weird in that I was not in it. I didn't even recognize anyone that was in this one, It was like I was watching the dream on TV.

There's these 2 women, in their 20's or so, a blonde and a brunette and it's implied that they are in a relationship together, yet they still wind up laying together on a bed with a man, in a hotel room drinking and talking. The blonde winds up falling asleep, and the brunette and the guy somehow make their way to taking a shower together, and there they have sex. Like in most dreams we come to one of those vague periods, but I think the guy said they would have to tell the blonde what happened, they argue, they fight and she grabs something hitting him over the head and he dies.

Then we cut to morning, the blonde is waking up, and she feels around for the brunette and is shocked to not find her, she spots the guy sitting in a chair and a trail of blood, she screams at the guy "what did you do to her" and throws the phone at him, it cracks his skull. Just then the brunette comes out of the bathroom, and the blonde tearfully admits to her that she killed him, and the brunette has to tell her that "No, I did"

Then I woke up, twisted twisted.

Redirecting money

Search is all paid for by ads,

Search is big business, getting to be the most used search engine allows one to get the most ad dollars, so does that mean it's advantageous to pay for an ad on a search engine directing others to your search engine?

I've got my agenda I won't lie. So I have decided to help my agenda out, I will frequently go to Google, and type in Bing. click the paid link to take me to bing there I will search for Google and take myself home.

I like the idea of Microsoft paying Google to try to promote their google killer.
